Our end of season junior awards started off on shaky ground as the heavens opened on Saturday morning soaking the pitch. But thanks to the tenacity of Dan Jones, Andrew Major and Iain Shields, we managed to get some Kwik Cricket underway for our younger players.

The BBQ was fired up and the afternoon turned into the perfect late summer day. It was a brilliant turn out from the junior parents to support the club, and so lovely to see so many people celebrating the young talent in the club.

The day was completed with a U15/U17s vs the Coaches game, which was won by the Juniors, Captained by Aiden Jones.

Bettesworth Award for the Quirkiest Event of the Season - Henry Edwards
Henry earned the award for his remarkable two wickets in two balls, a result of hard work in training, overcoming pressure, and perfecting his “Bing Chilling” ball—a calming technique turned team mantra, named after the Chinese word for ice cream, which lit up his bowling and the team’s spirit.

Don Jones Clubman of the Year - Harry Grimley
Harry received the Clubman of the Year award for stepping into the adult team (with some trepidation) but thriving, significantly improving his performance, and bringing that growth and impact back to the under-15s, inspiring those around him

A huge thankyou to all of the people on the committee, the coaches and the parents who made the day possible.
